We recommend reserving your room block as early as possible—ideally 6 to 12 months in advance—to secure the best availability and rates. Peak seasons and weekends tend to fill up quickly.
Booking a room block is simple:
1. Submit a Request – Contact our sales team with your wedding date, estimated number of guests, and preferred room types.
2. Receive a Proposal – We will provide a customized group rate and contract for your block valid for 5 days.
3. Sign & Confirm – Once you sign the agreement, the block will be set up for your guests.
4. Guests Make Reservations – Guests can book directly through a custom booking link or by calling the hotel.
We start wedding room blocks with up to 10 rooms. Once 80% of the original 10 rooms are booked, we can add more rooms based on availability. If you anticipate needing additional rooms, we recommend booking early to secure availability for your guests.
No, setting up a courtesy room block is free. However, some blocks may require an attrition clause (a commitment to fill a percentage of the rooms).

Guests can book by:
- Using the custom booking link we provide
- Calling the hotel and mentioning the wedding block name and dates
If your block is fully booked, we will do our best to add more rooms, subject to availability. We recommend encouraging guests to book early.
Guests are required to provide a credit card at the time of booking, but payment is typically collected at check-in. Prepayment options are available upon request.
Yes! If you'd like to cover some or all rooms, we can arrange a master account. A signed authorization form and payment details will be required.
Individual guest cancellations must be made 24 to 48 hours before arrival to avoid charges. Group block cancellations may have separate policies outlined in the contract.

To set up your block, we will need:
- Wedding date & venue
- Estimated number of rooms needed
- Room type preferences (King, Double, Suites, etc.)
- Who will be responsible for payment (guests or couple)?
- Contact information for the main point of contact
We typically hold rooms until 30 days before the wedding. After this date, any unused rooms will be released to the public and will be available for booking at the current retail rate, subject to availability.

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability. Guests can request this upon arrival.

Yes! We have 964 sq ft of meeting space at the Holiday Inn Express Dahlonega with capacity for up to 50 people available for welcome receptions, rehearsal dinners, and farewell brunches. Let us know if you're interested in reserving a space.

We do not provide direct shuttle service to wedding venues, but we can recommend a preferred transportation partner in town for your convenience.
Additionally, we offer shuttle service between Comfort Inn & Suites Dahlonega and Holiday Inn Express Dahlonega at a discounted rate through our preferred partner. This service is available upon request in advance and subject to availability. Please check with our sales team for details. Additional charges may apply
